Root + River Refillery started as a small idea with a big purpose—to make sustainable living easier for our community. As a small, locally owned business, we’re passionate about reducing waste and helping people make simple, eco-friendly swaps that truly make a difference. Every product we offer is chosen with care, and every refill keeps waste out of landfills.

We’re located in the historic Ward Bakery/Portage Place in the Near Northwest Neighborhood.
Street parking is available in front of the building, along California Ave, and at the adjacent parking lot next door.
Here are two easy options for navigating the building -
Enter through Counterspell Cafe. If you walk through Counterspell, you’ll arrive at an atrium that leads to Alchemy Healing Arts.
Enter through the California Avenue door and walk through the atrium to arrive at Alchemy.
Once you’ve made it to Alchemy, you’ll find a waiting area with retail from two local businesses, Sky Apothecary and Root + River Refillery.
